The Interoute network supports the key storage protocols of Fibre Channel (FC), FICON, ESCON, SCSI, or iSCSI over Ethernet and SDH to connect your primary site to any number of remote storage facilities.


 

The permutations and combinations available to you in designing a solution that best fits your data replication, storage/archiving and recovery needs are numerous. By assessing your networking needs, whether green field or legacy system based, we have the networking solution for you.

Using the pairing relationship between network technology and storage media we can help you determine the most cost-effective solution for your needs, based on Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) objectives and data throughput requirements.

By using your RPO - that is, how much data loss can be tolerated, and RTO – that is, maximum acceptable time to bring data/application back online, your solution type can be narrowed to several likely solutions. Your preferences will determine:

  1. The minimum data throughput, latency and resiliency required of the network solution;
  2. The Storage fabrics & networking options which would be most suitable;
